Abstract
												⺠Effects of NaCl on plant growth, Na+ accumulation and distribution were studied. ⺠Moderate salinity can stimulate Salicornia europaea L. growth. ⺠Sodium was accumulated predominantly in shoot endodermis tissues. ⺠Sodium was well compartmentalized into cell vacuoles. ⺠Genes involved in sodium segregation were upregulated under NaCl treatment.
