Abstract
⺠At early state of Fusarium infection the expression of several enzymes of pectin catabolism are inhibited. ⺠The early changes after infection are characterized by increase in water soluble pectin level. ⺠Expression of formate dehydrogenase is strongly activated after Fusarium infection. ⺠There is a strong connection between pectins and a formate level.
