Abstract
Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) MADS14 is specifically expressed in developing fibers. Overexpression of GhMADS14 in Arabidopsis influences plant growth, and alters expression levels of the genes related to GA biosynthetic and metabolic pathways in the transgenic plants. These results suggest GhMADS14 might contribute to modulating the dynamic balance of GA amounts for fiber development of cotton.
