Abstract
⺠An EST library was constructed from bamboo shoots by mRNA differential display. ⺠260 different cDNA sequences with differentially expressed patterns were obtained. ⺠cDNA microarray and qPCR were used to validate the gene expression levels. ⺠82 genes were up- or down-regulated in the rapidly elongating internodes. ⺠A network involved in cell elongation in the rapidly elongating internodes was proposed.
