Abstract
⺠Genomic sequence of rice Gα (RGA1) contains 13 exonic and 12 intronic segments. ⺠Promoter sequence RGA1 contains several stress related cis-regulatory motifs. ⺠RGA1 showed up regulation in responses to NaCl, cold and drought stress. ⺠RGA1 showed rhythmic and strong upregulation under heavy metal(loid)s stress. ⺠The study provides an evidence for role of RGA1 in regulation of abiotic stresses.
