Abstract
⺠We identify thirty chitinase like genes and characterize them as different classes of chitinase. ⺠Genes show high degree of homology with other pathogenesis-related plant chitinases. ⺠All genes show high expression in different organs of Brassica rapa. ⺠Some genes respond after biotic and abiotic stress treatments in Brassica. ⺠These chitinase genes may involve in plant resistance against biotic and abiotic stresses.
