Abstract
⺠Cell and tissue cultures were established from Larrea divaricata plants. ⺠These in vitro cultures were investigated for their potential to synthesize phenolic compounds. ⺠A relationship between morphological differentiation and phenolic compound is presented. ⺠The in vitro cultures did not show the same phenolic pattern as wild plants. ⺠The major product found in all types of cultures was NDGA.
