► AtFBS1 interacts with 14-3-3 proteins. ► The interaction requires the N-terminus and the F-box from AtFBS1. ► The treatment with the proteasome inhibitor MG132 increases AtFBS1stability. ► The treatment with an inhibitor of 14-3-3 interactions, augments AtFBS1 stability. ► AICAR reduces the conjugation of RUB1 to Cullin1.
