Abstract
â¶ A genotype-independent genetic transformation system for sweet potato was developed. â¶ Embryogenic suspension cultures were established in elite cultivars and were used for efficient production of transgenic sweet potato using Agrobacterium-mediated gene delivery. â¶ Molecular analysis confirmed the transgenic nature of regenerated sweet potato plants.
