Abstract
► Two types of nitrosyl iron complexes can be formed in embryos exposed to NO. ► By adding an NO donor, mononitrosyl iron complexes occur in vivo upon germination. ► This paramagnetic compound formation strictly depended on the Fe and NO presence. ► These complexes could contribute to the cellular labile iron pool composition. ► Nitrosyl iron complexes could be a possible pathway for NO and Fe transportation.
