Abstract
⺠In eukaryotic cells, cytoskeletal proteins ensure the processes of growth and development mediated by nitric oxide (NO). ⺠Cytoskeleton is involved into NO-signalling cascades directly and/or indirecly. ⺠NO regulates cytoskeleton functions via post-translational modifications of its proteins, namely tyrosine nitration and S-nitrosylation. ⺠Tyrosine nitration appears to be physiological modification of plant α-tubulin.
