Abstract
⺠Differential endopolyploidy patterns were found among different parts of the protocorms, leaves, roots and flowers in Phalaenopsis aphrodite regardless of their ploidy states. ⺠The germ-line tissues, including the ovaries and pollinia of the orchid exhibited the lowest degree of endopolyploidy among all tissues studied. ⺠The degree of endopolyploidy of the mature tissues, greenhouse-grown plants and diploids was higher than that of the young tissues, in vitro plants and tetraploids, respectively.
