Abstract
Immunocytolocalization experiments indicate that P-glycerate kinase, phosphoribulokinase, ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase and Rubisco activase are non-randomly distributed with respect to the ATP synthase, CF1, in the pea leaf chloroplast. Association and direct transfer of ATP from CF1 to these ATP-utilizing enzymes during photosynthetic CO2 fixation is then a possibility.
