Abstract
⺠Ammonium excretion of enchytraeids can be quantified directly. ⺠Ammonium excretion of enchytraeids is temperature dependent. ⺠Daily excretion rates can be estimated for field populations of enchytraeids. ⺠The annual ammonium excretion was about 0.3 g N mâ2 in Danish heathland.
