Abstract
Recent findings on the molecular damage occurring in the stallion spermatozoa are reviewed. Mechanisms leading to cell death or survival are briefly overviewed, and recent discoveries on molecular pathways leading to sperm death and sublethal damage are discussed. Increasing the understanding of this particular area may disclose clues to develop new strategies to improve current sperm conservation methods.
