Abstract
ⶠTSS, conductivity, DOC contribute to bacterioplankton and phytoplankton dynamics. ⶠConductivity is related to alkalinity, well known to regulate aquatic production. ⶠDissolved organic carbon serves as a limiting nutrient for bacteria in oxbow lakes. ⶠFDA activity helps predict heterotrophic biochemical activity in oxbow lakes.
