Abstract
⺠PO4-limited growth kinetics of T. suecica are hyperbolic with Km = 3.45 nM. ⺠The Vmax of short-term uptake kinetics is 100-1000 times associated growth rates. ⺠Cellular C:P ratios and growth rates are consistent with the Droop hyperbola. ⺠Protein content varies from ~ 7% at zero growth rate to ~ 59% at μmax. ⺠Chlorophyll a/carbon ratios are linearly related to growth rate.
