Abstract

SummaryAn 11-year-old male dog with dysuria-stranguria, progressing to anuria, had a multilobulated, firm mass in the perineal area, embedded in the fibroconnective adipose tissue of the pelvic cavity. The mass, which was resected surgically, was unencapsulated and composed of multiple islands of hyaline cartilage, interspersed with mature adipose tissue, and myxoid and fibrous tissues. Foci of chondroid metaplasia were present. Histological and immunohistochemical examination confirmed the mesenchymal origin of the tumour. A diagnosis of intra-pelvic chondrolipoma was made.
