Abstract
In the course of the wildlife rescue program on the Nakai Plateau during the Nam Theun 2 Hydropower Project a colugo (Galeopterus variegatus) was captured in September 2008. Following the project's general wildlife capture protocol sampling and measuring were conducted during monitored anesthesia. This is the second field observation of a free ranging colugo in Laos and the first documented anesthesia in this species.
