Abstract
In this sense, developing a practical system to classify the levels of evidence for dietetics and nutrition is a priority. Such a system should allow the soundness of dieticians-nutritionistÅ recommendations to be evaluated. Evidence-Based Dietetics and Applied Nutrition (EBDAN) is, therefore, the instrument to be used, based on rational data or objectives, when developing and revising guidelines, validating nutritional and health statements, establishing any type of recommendation, or taking preventive and therapeutic decisions.
