Actividad Dietética is the official journal of the Spanish Association of Dieticians-Nutritionists and aims to be the leading journal in the field of human nutrition and dietetics. The journal publishes scientific articles, which are submitted to a process known as peer-review (submission of an author's scientific work to external, anonymous scrutiny by experts in the same field). The journal publishes research and review articles on clinical nutrition, public health and epidemiology, industrial feeding and, in general, all areas of human nutrition and dietetics. Actividad Dietética complies with the «Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals» issued by the International Committee for Medical Journal Editors (http://www.icmje.org) and manuscripts must be drafted according to these recommendations. The present document details the guidelines to be followed by authors wishing to publish in Actividad Dietética, which are as follows: the article sections or categories, along with specifications on the length, structure and format for each; article submission, the editorial process, and the authors' rights and obligations; manuscript preparation.
