Abstract
Morphology and systematics of the rotifer genus Pseudoploesoma Myers, 1938 are discussed. The genus is transferred from Synchaetidae to Notommatidae. One species, P. formosum (Myers, 1934), is recognized. Pseudoploesoma greeni Koste, 1978 probably belongs to Notommata but must be considered incertae sedis and species inquirenda on account of its poor description; P. greeni sensu Coussement and Dumont (1980) is identified as Notommata copeus Ehrenberg, 1834.
