Abstract
ⶠ11 ORFs encoding CLIP domains serine proteases and 10 serine protease inhibitors (SERPINS). ⶠAmino acid content of the G. morsitans serpin reactive site (RSL) suggest an inhibitory mechanism. ⶠAbsence of gene expansion in G. morsitans CLIP-domain serine protease and SERPIN families. ⶠDifferent scissile bond residues in D. melanogaster and G. morsitans serpin4 isoforms.
