Abstract
⺠AVP induced a marked decrease in tail skin temperature and hypothermic responses. ⺠AVP induced an increase of saliva spreading for evaporative heat loss. ⺠Endogenous AVP does not mediate heat loss in the tail of the rat. ⺠Our data do not support the conclusion that AVP increased tail heat loss in rats.
