Abstract
The use of recombinant growth hormone in supraphysiologic doses increases growth velocity. Its use should be preceded by correction of other etiologic factors. The best results are obtained when the hormone is administered early. In future, the use of insulin-like factor-I may be important to achieving the goal of normal final size.
