Abstract
This paper presents an effective approach to real time hand tracking in dynamic environments of the virtual interactive interview system. Considering simplicity and practical feasibility, we perform hand tracking in the 2D image plane. An interviewer's hand motion recognition algorithm based on the particle filters is applied in this system. The particle filter is well operated for human hand motion recognition more than any other recognition algorithm. Through these experiments, we show that the proposed scheme is stable and works well in virtual interview system's environments.
