Abstract
In this paper, the dynamics of discrete-time resonant tunneling diode (RTD)-based cellular neural networks is studied. By virtue of metric horseshoe theory, it can be shown that the map derived from the discretization of RTD-based cellular neural networks has horseshoe in terms of symbolic dynamics of Σ3Σ3, which means the map is semi-conjugate to 3-shift dynamics.
