Abstract
⺠We report the 94 kbp mtDNA genome of the cacao pathogen Moniliophthora roreri. ⺠We compare M. roreri mt genome to its congener Moniliophthora perniciosa. ⺠Moniliophthora roreri harbours three free linear mt plasmids that encode DNA and RNA polymerases. ⺠One of the M. roreri free plasmids is 90 % similar to M. perniciosa integrated plasmid. ⺠Both Moniliophthoras have an atypical high number of hypothetical ORFs.
