Abstract
Douglas M. Henderson (1927–2007), Queen's Botanist in Scotland, spent nearly all his career at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, and served as President of the British Mycological Society in 1975. A synopsis of his contributions to both mycology and the wider botanical world are presented, together with a complete list of his publications.
