Abstract
⺠An objective and repeatable method for the development of multimetric indices is proposed. ⺠Proposed method is based on the multivariate nature of system responses to human disturbance and on information theoretic criteria. ⺠Expert opinion can be used to inform the selection of metrics. ⺠Simulations and examples suggest that the method results in sensitive and predictive MMIs.
