Abstract
⺠The paper deals with the ranking of MSW treatment alternatives. ⺠Their environmental performance was assessed with a series of indicators. ⺠The ecological footprint was suitable as single environmental screening indicator. ⺠Integrating criteria with AHP-PROMETHEE enhanced the analysis and decision making. ⺠Treatment alternatives that allowed recovering energy/materials were prioritized.
