Abstract
⺠Wetland assessment methods were improved by incorporating the LDI and area indices. ⺠The LDI index values vary significantly as the buffer distance increases. ⺠A wetland plus a 300-m wide swath encompasses the most appropriate assessment area. ⺠Assessment schematics differ significantly across wetland types. ⺠Our method is efficacy in regions with high population density and altered terrain.
