Abstract
⺠Support area is assessed as an indicator for environmental load. ⺠Sugarcane and corn agricultural production are considered as case studies. ⺠Embodied Energy, Ecological Footprint, and Emergy Accounting are used as tools. ⺠Significative differences were obtained when comparing methodologies. ⺠It is important to consider the real meaning and scope of each methodology.
