Abstract
⺠Keystone species at oxbow lakes are top predators. ⺠Moderate fishing pressure can be sustained on these oxbow lakes. ⺠High fishing pressure can be reducing drastically the aquatic diversity. ⺠Oxbow lakes depend on predators (in dry season) and detritus (wet season). ⺠Thus, floodplain is under a alternated control food web.
