Abstract
⺠Crop-pest dynamics and their integrated management is modeled. ⺠Modeling is used with multi-objective optimization to design management systems. ⺠Cultural practices can be alternatives to chemicals. ⺠Their optimal values vary between the farmer profiles and pest control strategies. ⺠The model-based design approach provides a framework for dialogue with farmers.
