Abstract
⺠A weather driven mechanistic demographic model for coffee and coffee berry borer was developed. ⺠The impact of abiotic mortality and intraspecific competition were estimated. ⺠The model accurately reproduced the field dynamics of coffee and CBB in Colombia and Brazil. ⺠The system model has applicability to development of management strategies in coffee worldwide.
