Abstract
► We model parasitoid populations with different reproductive and foraging behaviors. ► Offspring sex ratio and competitive ability varies with patch quality. ► Sex ratio adjustment effects have a limited influence on system dynamics. ► Variation in competitive ability strongly influences a parasitoid's effectiveness in reducing host population. ► The combination of these effects results in changes to the spatial pattern distribution of species.
