Abstract
⺠We model a butterfly metapopulation which is affected by daily weather. ⺠The model can be used to study landscape adaptation compensating for climate change. ⺠We examine responses of a butterfly population to fragmentation and climate change. ⺠Our metapopulation could escape adverse conditions in summer by phenological shifts. ⺠In our case, climate-dependent landscape adaptation was not required.
