Abstract
⺠We present CLIMPAIR, a new phytoclimatic, correlative and niche-based model. ⺠Applying this model we evaluate the phytoclimatic versatility of forest ecosystems. ⺠Versatility can be used as an indicator of adaptive capacity to climate change. ⺠Future decreases in forest versatility are predicted for Peninsular Spain. ⺠Decreases are greater in Mediterranean and low altitude areas.
