Abstract
► We correlated environmental variables with the density and diversity of fig trees. ► We used a large-scale design (>500,000 ha) in seasonal forest fragments in Brazil. ► Density and diversity of fig trees were better explained by the water availability. ► Anthropic perturbation and forest structure were of little weight in the models. ► We concluded fig trees are resilient to fragmented landscapes.
