Abstract
⺠Environmental impact assessments demand vegetation studies. ⺠There is a lack of specialised botanists available for fieldwork and vegetation analysis. ⺠A new method predicts functional dynamics based on simple field derived information. ⺠Cover dynamics can be translated into functional attribute dynamics. ⺠The method can be used as a complementary tool for non botanists.
