Abstract
► Food tracking by birds is expected if fruit availability change in space and time. ► We examined the fruit availability pattern along an altitudinal gradient. ► Fruiting peaks data were neither predictable and nor complementary. ► There was no relationship between fruit production and bird capture rates. ► Birds do not track fruit resources along the gradient.
