Abstract
⺠We revealed the interaction of hydrological seasonality and landscape on nitrogen. ⺠We compare land use effects within riparian zones of 100-1000 m width on nitrogen. ⺠Nitrogen is better predicted by land use in the high flow period. ⺠Landscape composition within the entire catchment is a better predictor of nitrogen. ⺠Land use and hydrology together regulate riverine nitrogen.
