Abstract
⺠We study genetic diversity of peanut rhizobia from different cropping history areas. ⺠Genetic similarity between strains from different peanut cropping areas was observed. ⺠Peanut nodulating rhizobia showed identity with members of Bradyrhizobium genus. ⺠The presence of the legume selects for particular taxa of rhizobia. ⺠Molecular data indicate high genetic diversity for peanut nodulating rhizobia.
