Abstract
⺠We explore interactions among low density carnivores competing for scarce prey. ⺠Tiger distribution was driven by prey availability. ⺠Smaller-bodied leopards and dholes avoided tigers, especially in open habitats. ⺠Dholes were widespread in a prey-poor zone where tigers were scarce. ⺠Results match intraguild predation theory and inform actions for tiger recovery.
