Abstract
⺠A controlled and replicated comparison of biodiversity in managed/unmanaged forests. ⺠For most carabid traits, habitat type mattered more than forest management per se. ⺠Management abandonment benefited both forest specialists and openland species. ⺠High basal area and humus activity favoured forest and dispersal-limited groups.
