Abstract
⺠The Azores hold the world's largest Cory's shearwater (Calonectris diomedea) population. ⺠Population dynamics there remain unknown despite the existence of threats. ⺠Although we found a high adult survival rate, we cannot rule out a decline of the Azorean population. ⺠The causes of this potential decline are threats to the young on land and possible low juvenile survival at sea. ⺠We propose a set of measures aimed at reducing chick and fledgling mortality.
