Abstract
⺠Comparing historical and recent species range sizes can detect declining species. ⺠We tested methods for managing variable sampling intensities during comparisons. ⺠The best method for measuring range change was a mathematical correction factor. ⺠According to this method, 60.2% of South African frog ranges have contracted.
