The effect of clear-cutting and wildfire on soil Oribatida (Acari) in windthrown stands of the High Tatra Mountains (Slovakia)

(Slovakia). ► Significantly lower abundance of Oribatida in treated stands than in control. ► The lowest species richness in wildfire, followed by clear-cut stands compared to control. ► Higher abundance of Oribatula tibialis in wildfire stands compared to others. ► Lower abundances of surface living Hermannia gibba and Liacarus coracinus in treated stands than in control.
