Abstract
⺠Soil environment had a significant alteration under shrubs. ⺠The shrubs maintained significantly higher soil macro-faunal diversity. ⺠The abundance and richness were higher with lower diversity under C. microphylla. ⺠Soil microhabitats and shrub characteristics facilitate macro-fauna assemblages.
